PQS 1 is a light quantum sensor developed by Kipp&Zonen specifically for high-precision measurement of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). It can continuously and accurately measure PAR in indoor or outdoor environments. It is an ideal choice for conducting research on crop growth. The diffuser equipped with it has good directional (cosine) response and is easy to clean and maintain.
In horticultural planting, in order to optimize the growth time and quality of crops in greenhouses, precise and subtle control of the lighting inside the greenhouse is required. Therefore, continuous monitoring of the photosynthetically active radiation levels of natural and artificial light sources in the greenhouse is necessary.
In forestry research applications, photosynthetically active radiation is a crucial research element.PQS 1 can monitor the physiology of plants above, in, and below the canopy, as well as the photosynthetically active radiation of leaves. In the field of agricultural planting, the growth rate and crop yield can be predicted by measuring the photosynthetically active radiation in the crop growth environment.
The PQS 1 optical quantum sensor has a built-in horizontal bubble, which facilitates leveling operations during installation to ensure more accurate and reliable data during operation. Meanwhile, two PQS 1 can also be installed back-to-back to form a simple PAR albedo meter. This product comes standard with a 5-meter cable, and users can also choose a 15 meter cable according to their actual needs.
